RS101 - Intro to Clean Energy Feasibility Analysis Course

In this module — RS101: Introduction to Clean Energy Project Feasibility Analysis — participants learn about:

  • the big picture about clean energy technologies, markets and applications;
  • elements of clean energy project feasibility analysis, including:
    • the qualitative factors: technical, technological, environmental, organizational and regulatory;
    • and the quantitative ones: estimating the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions and financial performance of potential projects using RETScreen Clean Energy Project Analysis Software.

Knowledge is evaluated via a graded essay-type quiz. RS101 is a four week long prerequisite to completing the full program and obtaining the Certificate of Proficiency. It will be required when one wants to enter into our Real World Project Studies: courses ending with IP or TP. When taken as a stand-alone course, participants have 4 weeks to complete it.

Access to this course is free but we charge a reasonable fee for people to take the essay type of exam.
The RS101EX fee include the exam and 2 one hour conferences (one on week 2 and one on week 4 of the RS101 module)

Registered participants can login to the course here.
